Heather Flowers

Heather Flowers is a speech-language pathologist and an experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. She has taught ESL at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies and at the graduate level through the School of Graduate Studies. Heather also has over 3 years experience in clinical Speech-Language Pathology. She has a particular interest in teaching pronunciation and in facilitating oral language proficiency in areas such as grammatical competence, pragmatics, and voice. Heather draws upon a variety of teaching methods to adapt to students’ learning styles. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics, an M.Ed, and an M.H.Sc. from the University of Toronto. Heather also received her TESL certification through the University of Toronto. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, she is registered with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
