Andrea Griggs
Andrea Griggs, an accredited coach and teacher, is the principal of Catalyst Communication, which offers language and communication coaching for professionals- both for English as a second language speakers and for native English speakers- to help them hone both their language and intercultural communication skills. She is also an associate of The Coaching Project where she works as an executive coach.
Andrea has spent 20 years working in the educational, corporate and non-profit fields as a teacher, a trainer and a director. In all three roles, she was responsible for creating opportunities for learning and change. As a language and communication coach, she focuses on developing clients’ learner strategies. She helps them discover their motivation, passions and strengths and learn how to apply that energy to language learning or becoming a better communicator. When her clients can draw on this self-knowledge, they are better able to take on whatever communication challenges they want to address. Andrea has worked internationally in Japan, Colombia and the United States.
Andrea is an accredited coach (CPCC) and a member of the International Coach Federation. She holds a Masters Degree in Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies of Education/ University of Toronto, where her studies focused on understanding cultural differences between people. She also holds a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate and has worked training teachers.
